Maura Postlethwait is a gluten-free travel expert, content creator, and writer focused on helping people with dietary restrictions travel better—confidently, safely, and without compromise. With over 15 years in hospitality and nearly a decade in Napa Valley’s wine industry, she has built a career rooted in food, wine, and meaningful service.
My Story
Originally from Saratoga Springs, NY—another hospitality-driven town—Maura studied Food Science and moved to Napa, where she worked in tasting rooms, wine labs, and eventually planned weddings and private events. That hands-on experience across the food and wine world led her into marketing in 2018, where she supported brands like the Roederer Collection U.S., John Anthony Family of Wines (JaM Cellars), and boutique wineries across California.

Today, she lives in Washington, D.C., and focuses on curating travel and dining experiences that celebrate chefs and culinary communities often overlooked. She’s passionate about telling the stories of the people behind the plate—whether in a safari kitchen, a pop-up in a city alley, or a countryside bakery.

Diagnosed with Celiac Disease 12 years ago, Maura brings personal insight to her work. She does the research and finds the places serving decadent, safe, gluten-free food.

She works closely with chefs, winemakers, and hosts around the world to ensure her recommendations meet a high standard of care, flavor, and inclusivity. She's always on the lookout for a good wine shop, never says no to Champagne, and loves testing new food and wine pairings—and crafting cocktails—in her downtime.
